Getting ThereContonou Cadjehoun (COO) is the main airport. Most of the international flights come from other African nations, but also from Paris with Air France. The airport is around 5km from the city and taxis are available.

Porto Nouvo is the main port but for shipping, there are no main passenger ferries to the country. A rail service is currently being constructed to Niger. Togo, Laos and Niger are connected by good quality roads. |

Getting AroundRail services run between Contonou and Pobe, Ouidah and Parakou. First class exists only to Parakou at present. Most main roads are of reasonable quality. Improvements are being made, although in the rainy season many tracks become unusable. International drivcers permit is required. |
